Long Time No Blog...

Soooo i didn't realize that I was supposed to just make new "Posts" each time I wanted to update my blog and I was actually creating "New Blogs" each time. Oh well, one of my mantra's is "I do not need to be prefect!" I'm sure if you are reading this you are smart enough to know see that I have other posts/blogs here too. I will use this blog as my oCheck Spellingngoing blog now though to Keep It Simple!

It's been almost a month since my last entry, since then the Running is moving right along... 6 minutes running, 1 minute walking now - 4 k in 30 mins! I am shocked and amazed with myself! Thank you Sheree and Misty for inspiring and creating this space and time for me to learn!
Weeks 1-5 were nasty - some moments weren't that bad but mostly bad. Lol... my shins hurt, my calves burned, feet felt numb, the whole nine yards! I bought some new shoes, that helped the splints and the rest will all fall into place \I guess. Sheree kept reiterating "Keep it Up Cori-Ann, It gets better, most beginners have trouble the first half of the program, week 5 or 6 it will get better" What did I have to lose? So I've kept at it. We are in week 6 now, and Tuesday's run was AWESOME- well the last half especially. Kev stayed back with me and encouraged me, which I really found helpful, and I strapped my ipod Touch into my shirt so I could hear Britney cheering me on too! Usually my calves burn so badly that I need to stop and stretch them... as I ran I kept focusing on breathing - 1,2,3,4 1,2,3,4 1,2,3 1,2,3 and finally it was over!!!! 6 minutes 5 times!! As we were stretching and talking at the end of the runm, it dawned on me, my calves didn't bother me! Wow! Misty said that was a milestone. Although my lungs did feel like they would explode a few times, I know have hope that that too will go away and I will experience another milestone! More will be revealed on this one. Thinking of doing a 5 k run in TO Sudnay Sept 27.

On another note, Jason and I moved into our first home together one week ago today!!!! We are so excited about this. It truly is a dream come true for me. Not to be all mushy here but I can tell you that there was a time in my life when I was losing hope and the thought of being settled down and at peace with the man of my dreams seemed sooooo far away! And here I am living life, with everything I have ever wanted! There is hope when you take care of yourself first, dream your dreams, and believe in them - believe that you can live your dreams out - even your wildest ones, because as Eleanor Roosevelt said, "The Future Belongs to those who Believe in the Beauty of their Dreams!" So believe it, see the beauty of it, feel the feelings, sit back and enjoy, because your dream is growing, even if you can't see the blades of grass that are about to pop up from below the dirt! Everything in life has a process, take the first step!

Blessings....

WOW, I must first thank my very good friend Mr.Tilley (http://mrtilley.blogspot.com/) for opening yet another door for me! What an inspiration this young man is to me! Ty, thanks for being you and choosong the path that led you to mine.

I too have decided recently that socializing on the internet with like minded people is a big passion of mine, along with writing, sharing and connecting people! What better way to do it than this.

My name The Social Butterfly comes from a few different things.
1. My mom always said I was a "Social Buttterfly". In sports growing up the best part of it for me was chatting it up with other kids. I really enjoyed that my brother played hockey because it was such a big social event! :) As an adult it is no wonder I went into the Public Relations/Marketing/Event Planning industry! Connecting with people is my passion - making friends makes me happy!
2. I am a strong believer in the "The Butterfly" effect (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Butterfly_effect), and the theory that a butterfly's wings might create tiny changes in the atmosphere that may ultimately alter the path of a tornado or delay, accelerate or even prevent the occurrence of a tornado in a certain location. The flapping wing represents a small change in the initial condition of the system, which causes a chain of events leading to large-scale alterations of events. Had the butterfly not flapped its wings, the trajectory of the system might have been vastly different. While the butterfly does not cause the tornado, the flap of its wings is an essential part of the initial conditions resulting in a tornado." (wikipedia)

This is how I choose to live my life today, rather than living in the "what if world" and second guessing everything that has ever happened "to me". I choose to look at it as what has happened "for me", these events, connections, relationships have all happened for a reason and they have made me who I am, and I really loooove who I am today!
